NU 107 show features the fun, fearless women of Cosmo

-

MANILA, Philippines - Cosmopolitan magazine celebrates 10 women in their first-ever Fun Fearless Females Awards in their May issue and this Saturday at 12 noon, The Magazine Show on NU 107 FM will be chatting with these women on what they have dared to do to make a difference.

Activist and artist Kiri Dalena conveys her stance through her art installations and documentaries.  In her film Alingawngaw Ng Mga Punglo (Echo of Bullets), she exposes human rights violations committed by military forces and civilian troops and more recently she sought to bring justice for the victims of the Maguindanao massacre in Requiem For M.

Since 2006, Maritess Mendoza has been working as a mobile teacher, trekking to the farthest barrios of Nueva Ecija to reach out to the ones most in need of education, from the abused, special children and mothers whose dream is to receive a high school diploma.  Today she is recog-nized as one of the leading teachers in Nueva Ecija for all her hard work and sacrifice.

The Magazine Show is hosted by free-surfer and lifestyle photographer Mark Dimalanta and model Raya Mananquil every Saturday from 12 noon to 1p.m. on NU 107 FM.
