MANILA, Philippines - Drawing from colonialism and exploration, reveling in scents, sights and sounds, the Sirens & Trains collection by Glasnost coaxes you to unleash your inner vagabond. Crisp fabrics and liquid sunlight. Function, movement, exoticism inspire the desire to wander. Bohemian and feral, like the fabled sirens of history and fiction. 

A collection to travel to far-flung places or within your own thoughts, to utilize when, where and how you see fit. 

Sirens & Trains is a collaboration. Glasnost by Stacy Rodriguez provided the apparel and set the theme and story of this season’s collection. Aspiring filmmaker-turned-jewelry designer Gabriela Tatad of Alati (alati.tumblr.com) completed the outfits with pieces from her first collection. Inspired by the sea and all its gifts she uses unique materials like giant gold-patterned leaves, rose beads, and sea glass which perfectly complemented the Glasnost pieces all exuding exploration and escape. With the worldly beauty and siren-like aura of this season’s Muse, Francine Lingad, film photographers An and En Estrada of youreviltwin (eviltwindiary.tumblr.com) were able to capture, through their unique point of view, the inspiration the designer drew from the scents, sights, and sounds from all over the world and beyond.
