MANILA, Philippines - Everyday bags, laptop cases, small personal items, travel paraphernalia, even gift wrappers take on a distinct aesthetic, thanks to design aficionados Billie de Guzman and Cristina Sena who helm Lili and Nana. 

Billie, an interior design grad from Assumption Makati, and Cristina, who earned a master’s degree in industrial design from Pratt Institute in New York, produce well-designed, meaningful gift items that exude wit and charm. Lili and Nana is Muji meets Kate’s Paperie, with a dash of Marimekko. From papers to paisleys to plain prettiness — the duo’s creations exude the simplicity and style of Japanese products, the color splash of Scandinavian design, and the inventiveness and artistry of Filipino craftsmanship. The infusion of all these characteristics is very evident even in their plainest product — gift wrapping.
