STYLE FINDER - Vicky Tensuan -

In the current world, we aim (or at least try) to feed our bodies with nothing but only those in its purest form (enter organic vegetables and meat, shampoo and conditioner, bug sprays, hand sanitizers… you get the idea). The reason behind all this is simple: to rid ourselves of unwanted chemicals that can form toxins in our bodies, which later on may develop into some terminal disease, like cancer.

But it’s not just the aforementioned that have joined the let’s-try-to-infuse-something-healthier-into-our-daily-lives bandwagon. Butter London is not your run-of-the-mill nail polish, given the fact that its colors range from the prim and proper nudes and dainty pinks to the more outrageous oranges, forest greens and neons in tongue-in-cheek names. Butter London is what they call a “3 Free” company — owner Sasha Muir made sure they created a nail polish line that does not contain toxins like formaldehyde, toluene or DPB (dibutyl phthalate) — all of which are carcinogens. And depending on how many coats you apply, Butter London dries in about 10 minutes, max. The price — at P660 per bottle — may be a bit steep, but way cheaper than chemo sessions.

Butter London is available at Basement, Emphasis, Henri Calayag, Kérastase, Tinette & Co. and Toni & Guy Salons, Nail Spa and Mix boutique.
