Basterds in black

MANILA, Philippines - At the premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s war flick Inglourious Basterds, celebs came to Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood to do their red carpet duty. Angelina Jolie came to support her other half, who is starring in the film. Jolie, who clearly has a fetish for leather (having paid homage to Elvira at countless red carpet events), suited up in a painted-on strapless leather dress. Brad, who was sporting a salt-and-pepper goatee that did nothing for him, was clad in all black, taking his sartorial cue from Jolie. Fellow thespians Diane Kruger and Melanie Laurent, members of the ensemble cast, also came in stark black. Only Samuel L. Jackson bucked the trend, glowing in summer white. — BJL
