MANILA, Philippines - Graphic design is not just aesthetics. It must have substance, it must be useful. For Manila Design Week, Team Manila challenged creative collaborators — teams of five members, a photographer, graphic designer, stylist, makeup artist and one other member, which could be a fashion designer, painter or video artist — to explore the basic tenets of graphic design, “Beautiful Functional” in a fashion editorial. The exhibit, featuring 40 of the biggest names in the fashion and design world, will be held on Monday, August 10 at 8 p.m. at the Greenbelt 5 Gallery. Manila Design Week is brought to you by Team Manila, Bratpack, Ayala Malls and Nokia.
