Black and light

- JR Isaac -

Combining form, function and style, the ladies kept their outfits simple yet elegant and party-ready when Samsung Mobile unveiled the Samsung Ultra Touch S8300 from the Ultra Edition line, which synchronizes style and substance with its design and cutting-edge features. The event, dubbed Bright Nights, gathered fashion denizens to style supremacy. Black, ultimately fuss-free and stunning, was the color of the night, paired with gladiators, gold flats and one–of–a–kind heels, as well as small clutches.

A spectacular light show and a performance by the Unschooled opened the event as some of the country’s top models paraded the stage in the latest clubwear by Joey Samson. Editors of the top three fashion magazines — Pauline Juan of Preview, Carla Sibal of Mega, and Katrina Holigores of Metro — each announced their Style Icon nominees, women who represent the Samsung Ultra Touch S8300’s fusion of style and substance.

In another event, cool and comfy spell out what ladies prefer to wear to beat the hot season. And it all became clearer when these femmes trooped to the launch of a new luxury linens line from Linens Direct, designed by no less than certified urbanista Daphne Osena-Paez, held at the fourth level of SM Makati.

They came clad in stunning ensembles consisting of tops and mini dresses in summery hues. Statement accessories like long necklaces, chunky rings, chic clutch bags and strappy stilettos added overall punch to their dazzling looks.

These fashionable ladies were in tune with Daphne’s new collection of exquisite beddings. Known for having a keen eye for what is stylish yet sensible, the elegant host and TV personality collaborated with the fine linen makers to produce luxurious yet effortless products to complete a unique beddings collection that will not break your bank account.
