X marks the spot
Mossimo, purveyor of casual cool clothing, pulled out the stops when it recently celebrated its 10th anniversary in Club Ascend with a sizzling fashion show entitled “Intensity 10.”
The event showcased the brand’s new holiday collection, an eclectic mash-up of free-flowing bohemian pieces, skinny denim pants and hip jackets, plus Mossimos patented classic pieces: long-sleeved shirts, T-shirts, and day-to-day accessories. The show also thrilled with Mossimo Underneath, the brand’s undergarment line that offers hip and sexy near-nothings both for males and females. Mossimo Underneath was modeled by the past winners and contestants of the highly-popular Mossimo Bikini Summit competition, which will reportedly make a grand comeback in 2009.
The fashion show infused top local and foreign models sashaying their way to the event’s X-shaped catwalk along with break dancers and a live performance by R&B singer Arnee Hidalgo and DJ Rye.
Seen partying in the event were pop diva Kuh Ledesma along with daughter Isabella, Andrew Wolfe, R&B singers Luke Mijares and Thor, R&B show band Urbanation, ’80s goth-rock band Gene Loves Jezebel, TV host and racer Gaby dela Merced, Survivor Philippines castaway Kiko Rustia, YStyle fave Marc Nicdao, TV journalists Ginger Conejero, Lhar Santiago, Mario Dumaual and Marie Lozano, event director Lotho and jazz diva Verni Varga among many others.
