Zine zoned
MANILA, Philippines - For those of you looking for a little break from the daily grind, why not head over to Uke Box Caffe on Aug. 8 for an afternoon of conversation and creativity? Online magazine The Thing is hosting a zine-making session where guests can hang out and eat while creating their own mini publications.
For the less artistically inclined, don’t worry. The act of cutting and pasting doesn’t require much skill, and is actually quite therapeutic. Even better: there’s no entrance fee or registration required. All you need is an eye for interesting pictures and the ability to use scissors. Just buy a snack or a drink from the café, and you’re all set.
The end result? Pocket-sized works of art that’ll look really good on Instagram, no matter what filter you’re using.
