Revel with a cause

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It may be hard to believe but in a few weeks, the third quarter of the year will come to a close. But before we immerse ourselves in the madness of the last quarter, it’s better to take a break and recharge to keep us going for the remaining months of 2014. There’s nothing wrong with hanging loose and having fun, but believe it or not, you can do it for a good cause.

The UP Junior Marketing Association (UP JMA) is back with ADHOC: Resurgence. On August 23 at the World Trade Center, get lost in the beats of DJ Ace Ramos, DJ Jason Dewey, DJ Martin Pulgar, and DJ Inno Naguit. The new A-Team will provide overflowing drinks to keep the party going until the anticipated midnight reveal.

But ADHOC is not just another party with amazing light shows and electrifying bass drops.  ADHOC’s proceeds will go to the organization’s beneficiaries: the Kids Integrated Development through Schooling (KIDS) Program, which subsidizes the education of 40 public school students in Quezon City, and the UP JMA Scholarship Fund, which gives scholarship grants to five UP Diliman students. UP JMA also introduces The TheseAbled Program, their newest beneficiary, this semester. Together with the Foundation for the TheseAbled, the organization will support people with disability who make a living by manufacturing furniture.

If you want to end the third quarter with a bang, join UP JMA as they throw one of the biggest college parties of the year. After all, 2015 is just around the corner and it’s time to make the most out of the rest of 2014. Maine Manalansan
