Wrath of the titans
MANILA, Philippines - Now in its third season, the Deer Valley Titans (DVT) has come into its own. In another creative and collaborative effort with Titan and UNSCHLD, Singapore-based artist SBTG breathes life and dimension into the progressive DVT story.
Set in the year 1991, DVT Season 3 features ABL basketball star, Chris Banchero, Gilas Pilipinas guard, Kevin Alas, Sandwich’s Mong Alcaraz and Diego Castillo, and former San Beda Red Lions standout, Sudan Daniel, as they give you a glimpse of what their closets and wardrobes would have looked like when punk broke out and alternative music had been around long enough to be played on radio. It was the time when Nirvana and Metallica, two of the most iconic bands, dominated the scene.
Oxfords, flannels, road shirts, crewnecks, football and baseball tees are “punk-tuated†with parodied symbols popularized by these two powerhouses: the smiley face from Nirvana’s “Nevermind†album and the snake off Metallica’s “Black†album. The “Ball Face†to represent ironic mischief and rebellion, and the “Snake Fist†to portray someone steady, yet firm and aggressive. “These two icons also happen to represent UNSCHLD, Titan and SBTG’s DNA,†says Ong.
The Deer Valley Titans Season 3 limited piece collection will have two release dates. Delivery One will be unveiled and made available on Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Titan Flagship Store, Two Parkade, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Delivery Two is scheduled for Sept. 15, 2013.
