The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - 1 – game. Toronto Raptors’ center-forward Amir Johnson was suspended for one game without pay after throwing his mouthpiece at a referee for ejecting him before their loss in Portland last Monday night.

3.7 – rating on IMDB for Liz and Dick. Starring Lindsay Lohan, this movie just didn’t live up to anyone’s expectations — unless you really had 3.7 in mind ever since.

6 – Grammy nominations. Odd Future crooner Frank Ocean grabbed six nominations for the 55th Grammy Awards — like we didn’t see that coming.

7 – months. It took seven months for Maroon 5’s keyboardist Jesse Carmichael to finish soul-searching and study music before confirming his comeback to the band. He is reported to be rejoining for their fifth studio album.

66 — pages that Gawker leaked from Girls director-actress Lena Dunham’s book pitch that Random House has bought for $3.7 million. It’s a book of classic Lena-witted advice tentatively titled Not That Kind of Girl but since then has been taken down.

16th – of December. Homeland’s second season is scheduled to end this weekend after 12 episodes. It should be another thrilling season finale, Carrie Mathison-style.

48 – frames per second was the rate Peter Jackson used to shoot The Hobbit, which just came out yesterday in theaters. As opposed to the usual 24 frames per second, using 48 is said to lend lifelike clarity and smoothness to the movie. Behold the awesomeness.
