The Deer Valley dream team

MANILA, Philippines - Fact gives way to fiction once more. Titan, the country’s first basketball concept store, launches another collaboration with local clothing brand UNSCHLD and Singapore based artist  SBTG (Mark Ong). Last year, the three brought to life the Deer Valley Titans, a line based on a fictitious AAU basketball team. To celebrate Titan’s store opening in Bonifacio Global city, the team of three is bringing back their dream team by making a Return to Deer Valley.

Titan co-founder, Jeffery Cariaso conceptualized the Deer Valley Titans. Caraiso has this vision of Titan having its own AAU b-ball club that’s based out of the US with players having Filipino roots bound by a common love of the game. Bringing life to the vision, Titan pulled together a real-life team of basketball players aptly named, the Deer Valley Titans. The team includes Tony Dela Cruz, Brandon Cablay, Vaughn Canta, Sudan Daniel, Andro Torres, and Gerald Anderson. This year, Peter June Simon, Marc Pringris, and Keith Jensen will join the team.

For the Return to Deer Valley line, the Deer Valley Titans reminisce the time when they first fell in love with basketball as well as envisioning a life without it. The team’s insights fuelled the collaborators to develop a line that brings back some of that ‘90s nostalgia. UNSCHLD’s creation includes crew necks, button downs, nylon camp caps, cotton twill snapbacks, anoraks in loud prints and jerseys splashed with 1990’s dream team colors.

SBTG’s pieces is a throwback of vintage Americana. His collection includes old-school football sweater and tees, varsity uniforms, and bowling shirts.

The Deer Valley Titans: Return to Deer Valley collection was unveiled last night, at the new Titan Flagship store, 2 Parkade, Fort Bonicaio Global City in Taguig.
