Doctor's prescription: Rock your Saturdays
MANILA, Philippines - Not only is the doctor in, but he’s also prescribing a bar tour.
To be held in four different locations in Metro Manila this month, the Dr. Martens Philippines x Brgy. Tibay Bootleg Series Bar Tour kicks off Oct. 6, tomorrow night, at Freedom Bar (2nd floor Anonas Commercial Complex, #3 Anonas Road, Project 3, Quezon City).
Headlining the gig at Freedom Bar are Laguna-based hard rockers Typecast with punk band Curbside, Oblivion, The Sauce, Eternal Now, and a surprise comeback – a band that, based on rumors, “start with the letter Q.”
It doesn’t stop at Freedom Bar, though. The following legs of the tour happen every Saturday for the next three weeks: Oct. 13 at Café Saguijo in Makati, Oct. 20 at B-Side along Malugay street in Makati, and Oct. 27 at the Fort Strip Plaza itself in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig – right outside the Dr. Martens shop itself.
Other bands expected to make the next lineups include Greyhoundz, Razorback, Jonan Aguilar, Sultans of Snap, Pinoy Stories, Gayuma, Cosmic Love, Mr. Bones & the Boneyard Circus, Mayonnaise, Stickfiggaz, Saydie, Mara, David vs. Goliath, Abra, and many more.
It’s a four-fold party waiting to happen. Make sure to catch the first leg of the bar tour tomorrow night at Freedom Bar.
