MANILA, Philippines - What: “Folk U Like It’s Hot“

Why: The seventh edition of Folk U, entitled “Folk U Like It’s Hot,” features Hong Kong independent singer/songwriter Luke Chow and celebrates the craft of songwriting and minimalist performance styles. The minimalist vibe of the Folk U nights makes this very different from other rock/dance gigs. This is because Folk U aims to highlight songwriters/singers who tell stories, and the community that gathers to listen to them. In a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere, with a touch of romance in the air, Folk U gathers people around the craft of the song, making these nights a great place to discover hidden treasures both new and old. Also performing are Fando & Lis, Tao Aves, and Jesse Grinter of Gaijin.
