Kiehl's gets sweeter the second time around
MANILA, Philippines - What began as a family affair in New York’s East Village over 150 years ago has transformed itself into a cosmetic and pharmaceutical pioneer and institution — Kiehl’s. Lip Balm #1
The answer is yes, there is a Lip Balm #2. Shortly after the introduction of Lip Balm #1, Kiehl’s created and introduced a Lip Balm #2, designed to be opaque, with a silver color in order to provide physical sun block, but it was ultimately short-lived — as customers felt it looked a bit too dramatic on the lips.

Original Musk Oil
This “cult classic” immediately became a signature of many Kiehl’s customers — both male and female — and is classic enough to earn a slot in the Smithsonian Museum’s collection of American Pharmacological products. The legend of Kiehl’s Original Musk Oil says that the formulation was deemed “too sensual” for the times and was stashed away in a vat labeled “Love Potion” in the basement — in the deep, dark recesses of the Kiehl Pharmacy at 109 Third Avenue in New York City. The vat was not opened again until 1958, at which time a store renovation took place, and was finally introduced to Kiehl’s customers for the first time in 1963.
Creme De Corps
Original Creme de Corps body moisturizer has been a favorite preparation among Kiehl’s cherished patrons for decades. Rich in skin-nurturing ingredients ideal for hydrating dry skin, this elegant, buttery body cream leaves skin tone and texture extraordinarily supple and smooth.
