Hello Kitty Online’s world is a 3D-rendered environment based on beautiful illustrations. The game interface is functional, and it will only take one a few moments to become familiar with it. The familiar cute ambiance that Sanrio and Hello Kitty are known for is recreated, with excellent audio full of soothing songs and cute sound effects. It features the much-loved Sanrio gang of Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pochacco, Badtz-Maru, Dear Daniel, and many others. They serve as non-player characters (NPCs) and country leaders, providing guidance and missions to complete. The fantasy world begins at Sanrio Harbour and takes one to exciting places like London, Beijing and Paris. Some of the adventure tasks include digging for ore, ranging the wilderness, discovering new cities, crafting a broad selection of tools, raising a farm, cooking, making furniture and clothes.
Mini games can also be enjoyed with other players for some casual fun, while friends can work together to complete more demanding tasks such as building a house.
Hello Kitty Online even has the community and social functions built into it. The game is integrated with SanrioTown, the official online community for Sanrio fans. Right-clicking on in-game characters takes one to their SanrioTown blogs, where you can watch the videos they’ve uploaded, and send them e-mail.
This December, Hello Kitty Online is one of the featured attractions at the Hello Kitty Christmas Surprise Mall Tour that will hit various SM Malls, including SM Southmall on Dec. 13, SM Fairview on Dec. 18, and The Block at SM North Edsa on Dec. 19-20. Visit the Hello Kitty Online booth for free game registration and game trials. Those who will try out the game can receive Hello Kitty Online special items such as posters and stickers. DVD installers will be available for P100.
Those who are already playing the game can expect a special in-game celebration starting Dec. 18.
