Lighter skin with Rexona
MANILA, Philippines - Beauty and style icons converged at the Blue Leaf Events Pavilion recently to engage in a light but enlightening discussion on what has long been the bane of Filipina women: dark underarms.
The by-invitation-only event launched the newest scent from the country’s leading deodorant brand, Rexona. The new Rexona Skin Light deodorant is specially formulated to smoothen and lighten underarms in as little as two weeks.
The engaging program took on a talk show format and was ably hosted by the gorgeous Angel Jacob. Renowned dermatologist Dr. Jean Marquez enlightened guests on underarm skin care and the most common causes of dark underarms — plucking and shaving. They were joined by Dr. Satish Goel, Unilever’s Research and Development director for Asia-Africa, Middle East and Turkey, who explained more about the skin-rejuvenating and lightening features of Rexona Skin Light, which was inspired by the natural properties of sunflower oil.
The guests were also taken into a virtual tour of Port Sunlight Laboratory, Unilever’s Global Technology Center in the United Kingdom, to get a quick glimpse at how Unilever has developed breakthrough personal care products such as Rexona. Unilever’s clinical manager for Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant Studies, Dr. Vernon Marti, explained how Port Sunlight became a leading global center for deodorant research and development.
Unilever Philippines’ marketing manager for deodorants Cindy Melocoton assured Filipino women that the new Rexona Skin Light deodorant will finally liberate women from the shame and embarrassment of having dark underarms.
“With Rexona Skin Light, women can finally lighten up!” she said.
