Shangri-La Plaza presents fun-filled weekends for kids

-

MANILA, Philippines - Summer is one of the best times to be with your family, as the children are off from school and looking for activities to keep them occupied for the following weeks. Take a breather from work or from your daily errands and enjoy a day with your family with these weekend activities and events at the country’s premier lifestyle destination Shangri-La Plaza during the merry month of May.

Give your kids the opportunity to learn the timeless art of Chinese painting. The Confucius Institute at the Ateneo De Manila University will be holding a workshop for kids where they can learn to create simple subjects using the Chinese brush. Open to participants aged 8-17 years old, this four-session course, to be held on four consecutive Sundays (May 17, 24, 31 and June 7), has a P3,500 registration fee, covering the course charges and materials needed. Limited slots are available.

Listen to the soothing yet moving sounds of the violin with a violin concert on May 28, 5:30 p.m. at the Grand Atrium. The show features 40 young students from Carmencita Arambulo’s Suzuki Music School. Together, you and your family will develop an appreciation for one of the world’s most popular string instruments as you sit back, relax and watch the show unfold.
