Highlighting the event is the Philippine envoy to the Jack Daniel’s Global Music Tour Singapore in May 2009, the music coalition of Cynthia Alexander & Nyko Maca + Playground. Get a load of this sumptuous sonic recipe for the senses of Cynthia’s raw, ethereal and poetic alternative with NMPG’s (Nyko Maca + Playground) suave, diverse and pulse pounding electronica. This collaboration emerged as the best among 14 collaborated genres in 2007’s successful Jack Daniels event: the Jack Mix Collaboration Series.
Pushing the envelope for an even more intense night of music are Razorback and Urban Dub, two of the biggest bands ruling their respective genres of classic and modern rock locally. Establishing themselves individually, these two powerhouses lord the rock scenes and airwaves of Manila, Cebu and greater Visayas area and have garnered critical acclaim locally and internationally.
Spanking new music acts to set the party ablaze: Corporate Lo-Fi and Taken By Cars, artists that personify of the near future of music, the ideal end product of the Jack Daniels collaboration mission. Witness an eclectic fusion of various genres and sub-genres of new music, summing up into one totally rad audio inferno. Rock to the beats of progressive jazz and underground hiphop of Corporate Lo-Fi and dancey tunes of postmodern indie rock and tripnotic synths of Taken By Cars. And if that’s not all, pumping up the theme are resident Jack Daniels bands: KO Jones and Highway 69.
