Spongebob 10th anniversary bash at Bonifacio Global City

-

MANILA, Philippines - Yellow is the new black in 2009 as Nickelodeon plans to make fans “Think Happy” all year long in celebration of SpongeBob SquarePants’ 10th Anniversary.

Nicksters in the Philippines will join the worldwide celebration of SpongeBob’s 10th year anniversary beginning with Spongebob and the Big Wave Party at the Bonifacio Global City Open Field in Taguig City on April 25 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

From water-themed inflatables to game booths, with loads of prizes and exciting surprises, it will be a thrilling afternoon of fun and games. Be there to also catch the premiere of SpongeBob and The Big Wave, a super-special anniversary episode starring Johnny Depp. He plays Jack Kahuna Laguna, an enigmatic surf guru who teaches island-stranded SpongeBob, Patrick & Squidward how to surf the legendary wave called the Big One so they may find their way back home to Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob and Patrick will be there to soak in some summer sun and fun with Pinoy Nicksters!

Since its launch in July 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has emerged as a pop-culture phenomenon with 70 million viewers monthly, rating as the top animation program with kids aged 2-11 years old for seven consecutive years.  Seen in 171 markets in 25 languages, it is the most widely distributed property of MTV Networks.
