Time for a smash hit

MANILA, Philippines - Last March 7, Timex, the world-renowned quality maker of high-performance timepieces, provided the perfect setting for the Fourth Famous Badminton Cup at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City. The brainchild of PR master Keren Pascual, the Famous Badminton Cup is an annual affair wherein society’s most distinguished and recognized personalities are brought together to enjoy a day of intense but fun competition.

Now in its fourth year, the Famous Badminton Cup proved to be the most exciting installment yet. Players battled it out on the court as opposing teams launched smash hit upon smash hit against each other in the hopes of winning the Fourth Famous Badminton Cup.

In the end, several players got to bring home Timex watches. Among these timepieces were the Timex Ironman Triathlon 50, a stylish watch built for the extreme athlete yet still fashionable enough to swim, bike, run, jump, climb or kick in form; the Timex Ironman iControl for iPod, which lets one move freely while being able to control his/her iPod using buttons on the watch activated via a wireless transmitter; as well as the Timex heart rate monitor, a comfortable and lightweight timepiece that lets one keep track of his/her average, peak and minimum heart rate during exercise.

The event also provided the opportunity for the participants to give back to the community, as proceeds went to a charitable organization.
