Letran and Ad Foundation hold AdSpeak '09

-

Colegio de San Juan de Letran, in partnership with the Advertising Foundation of the Philippines, will convene delegates from various schools when it holds AdSpeak ’09, a student convention on values advertising.

The event, which will take place on Feb. 21, will be held at the Student Center Auditorium of Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Intramuros, Manila.

AdSpeak ’09 aims to impress upon future communicators the importance of advertising with positive values. Advertising experts will share their insights during the whole-day affair. Among them are Susan Dimacali, vice chairman and chief marketing officer of DDB Philippines; Ricky Gonzales, creative director of JimenezBasic; Robert Labayen, head of creative communications, ABS-CBN; Matec Villanueva, chairman & CEO of Publicis Manila and Nandy Villar, managing director, McCann Erickson Philippines.

Aside from talks from resource speakers, AdSpeak ’09 will present its Values Advertising Awards and Students’ Choice Awards. Commercials that uphold values can be created and entered by student delegates in four categories: Print, Radio, TV and Campaign. Deadline for the submission of entries is on Jan. 31.

Letran and the Advertising Foundation of the Philippines are co-presenting AdSpeak ’09 since they share the same goal of promoting values and worthwhile advocacies in advertisements.
