The gang of six
De La Salle College of St. Benilde students Carlo Aragones, Mico De La Paz, Niccolo Anacleto, Kyle Sotelo, Joseph Duque and Edwin Valencia mount a show titled “Super Sais,” which opens today at MC Home Depot, The Fort, Taguig.
The exhibit showcases various works in multimedia. “Super Sais” is a play on the Tagalog word for “six,” and a homage to the super sentai shows in Japan, which are also popular here in the Philippines such as Maskman and Shaider.
The students who are part of DLS-CSB’s Multimedia Arts (AB-MMA) program believe they embody the quirkiness and awesomeness of such shows from their childhood, shows that contributed to the creativity in each of the artists. The members have their own strengths, styles, personal quirks and choices of canvas. In a world where “Sais” matters, the Super Sais Force is something to be reckoned with.
