The bold & the beautiful

-

Plains & Prints debuted its holiday collection at the recently concluded Philippine Fashion Week in the Atrium of SM Mall of Asia. The 72-piece collection featured colors from deep purples to opulent reds, bright yellows to relaxing greens, eclectic oranges to dainty pinks. Exotic jewel tones were thrown into the mix, along with geometric and whimsical patterns.

A general confidence in shape and a more experimental attitude toward a dynamic outline was seen in this season’s silhouette. The brand was able to utilize soft feminine fabrics that have a fluid quality while retaining a structure that achieves wearable elegance.

According to Plains & Prints owner Roxanne Farillas, the brand has been staging fashion shows for the past five years but it was the first time they joined Philippine Fashion Week. “We wanted our clients appreciate what Plains & Prints is all about and see the different silhouettes and colors,” says Farillas.

Gretchen Barretto, who has been named one of the most stylish and beautiful women in the country by various glossies many times over, highlighted the show. Clad in a long, flowing printed dress, Gretchen strode down the runway in true diva fashion.

With the success of its first outing at the Philippine Fashion Week, Plains & Prints sets the standard in RTW and affirmed its mission to become the brand of choice for women who understand fashion and continuously dream in color.
