Making the short list
The ladies were once again out and about wearing their hip mini dresses in the humid weather. Simple elegance was the rule for the night. Their only accessories were belts or sashes, clutches or some beautiful detailing on their dresses. They also wore chic and comfortable shoes for stress-free, late-night dancing. As for jewelry, they only wore a few key pieces such as earrings or bangles.
It was Motorola’s “Sleepless Saturday” night at the Embassy Superclub. Manila’s fashionable party folk gathered to dance the night away and be seen at the most happening venue. The party was powered by Motorola and provided a hot musical backdrop for partying with Stephen Ku and GP Reyes taking turns at the DJ tables. Indeed, it was another unforgettable night as only this dynamic duo could provide.
Kato Chua
Kato bought her dress from Moonshine (www.moonshinegarb.multiply.com); her pumps are from Hong Kong and her bag is from Dorothy Perkins. Her style is inspired mainly by the trends for fall/winter '08.
Aprille Cabrera
Aprille’s purple dress, accessorized with a black silk belt is from Tyler. She paired her outfit with gold peep-toe pumps and chandelier earrings. Her style for the night is simple but edgy, just like Kate Moss.
Kat Sy
Kat wears her own creation with a thick yellow belt, a Prada bag and ankle-high boots. She opted to wear a simple black dress with accessories for a chic and edgy look.
Audrey Ednacot
Audrey wears a Moonshine dress, which she bought online. Her accessories are from LV and Aldo. She wanted to keep it simple that night so she used minimal accessories.
Patty Cheng
Patty wears a dress from H&M and an obi belt from Terranova. Her black clutch bag is from HDY. Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City is her inspiration for the night.
Yanie Dizon
Yanie wears a gold and black dress from People are People with a vintage bangle and shoes from Charles and Keith. She was inspired by pop singer Beyoncé Knowles who always makes gold look glamorous.
Emia Fuentes
Emia wears a yellow plaid dress from Bangkok, a shoulder bag from Topshop and gas mask necklaces given by friends. She says she wore the color yellow "for Ninoy."
Tin Tagle
Tin wears a violet dress from Bangkok with black stilettos from Cinderella. She accessorizes her outfit with vintage earrings, a bracelet and a bag from her mom. Her inspiration for the night is Carrie Bradshaw.
Krystel Lao
Krystel’s dress is by Sloane, which she got at the Rockwell bazaar. She wears it with a Tyler cape, shoes from Janilyn, a YSL cuff and Vida Jewelry earrings. She usually wears black but decided on something different that evening.
Tracy dela Cruz
Med student Tracy wears a dress from Greenhills and shoes from Janylin. She accessorizes with a satin headband that she got from a friend. She was after the sexy and glam feel of The Hills.
Marion Villegas
Marion wears a beige top, black tights and flats. She accentuates her outfit with a gold belt. All items were good finds from Greenhills. She was after a laid-back and chilled-out look.
