Musicians and models. Rockstars and designers. If they’re not swapping spit (Mick and designer L’Wren), they’re sharing some DNA (Stella and dad Paul McCartney).

Since Agyness’ stratospheric rise to the top of the modeling world, garnering ad campaigns left and right, she’s also nabbed some serious model arm candy: Strokes’ guitarist Albert Hammond. The twosome have been seen canoodling and rumors have it that the two are already engaged.

Kate Moss replaced her cracked-out ex Pete Doherty when he couldn’t come clean with another musician, guitarist Jamie Hince.

A local fashion pairing recently come to light is Penshoppe’s latest partnership with Myx VJs. The lithesome young folks who’ve been spending their airtime in brightly-colored gear meant to convey a sense of exuberance and ‘80s nostalgia recently launched a new wave-inspired collection at Penshoppe’s flagship store at SM Megamall. Penshoppe Club Pen endorsers Melissa Ricks, Matt Evans, Dawn Balagot and Einer Ingerbritsen rubbed elbows with Myx VJs Andrei Felix and Mica Froilan.

Channeling such ‘80s bigwigs as Cyndi Lauper and George Michael, Penshoppe relived the VJs’ youth — seriously, these kids were practically embryos during the era’s heyday — with a display of “relics” (yes, that’s what they were calling it) like Yamaha organs, boom boxes and cassette tapes. Emblazoned on shirts were catchphrases couched in retro slang, bold graphics in primary colors, colorblock sweaters and brightly-printed hoodies with a distinctly new wave vibe.

This latest pairing proves that when fashion and music do mix, they often bear good-looking offspring.
