Night to remember

CIRCUIT TRAINING - JR Isaac -
Prom night is the most special night for juniors or seniors in their school life. And as we all know, what makes it even more memorable is the post-prom shindig. The unstoppable urge to extend the party vibe and the grand opportunity to groove all night make prom night the night of a lifetime. And to make this night a headlining, 20-page entry in your on-line diary, check out these places to define your after-prom night.
Sleepless at Embassy Superclub
Where:
Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City

What:
A must-experience for your post-prom destination. There’s house music all night by DJ Martin Pulgar at the main room and GP Reyes at the VIP room.

And YStyle’s prom-goers are in for a special treat as Sleepless organizers GP Reyes and Stephen Ku offer free entry and VIP treatment to selected after-prom party people. Just e-mail gpeoplemail@gmail.com and send your group’s photos, date of prom, and a short paragraph describing your group and why you should "party like a VIP" at Sleepless.
Rouge Nights at M Café
Where:
Across Ayala Museum

What:
Rouge Saturday nights at M Café are dominated by the expatriate community. The café, with its relaxed yet stylish vibe, will make sure your prom dress does not go to waste. Enjoy the romantic lush garden of Greenbelt while listening to its eclectic blend of rare grooves, funk, bossa nova, batucada, broken and "nu" jazz beats. DJ Red 1 maneuvers the music and the "must M" drink is "The M" which is a mix of melon liquor, vodka, pineapple juice and triple sec. Catch the open bar from 10 p.m. until midnight.
Club O Resto-Bar (formerly Dish)
Where:
Ground Flr. ELJCC Bldg. ABS-CBN Compound, Mother Ignacia St., QC

What:
With live band entertainment for an after-prom shindig there’s Open Mic with Shayne and Brownsugar every Tuesday night. Thursday is Backtrack night with Circus Band and The Brother for a retro-vintage appeal. A bottle of local beer would set you back at P50 a bottle!
Gweilos Makati
Where:
109 C. Palanca Street, Legaspi Village, Makati (tel. 817-6083)

What:
Every Friday is hot here. Tonight Wake Up Your Seatmate will be performing. The vibe is easy since the all-girl members of the band are barely three years past their own proms – and best of all, the entrance is absolutely free. The beer buckets go for only P244 while an order of Gweilo’s native pizza goes for P180 – not bad for an after-prom group night out.
Temple Bar
Where:
Greenbelt 2, Ayala Center

What:
Jive Fridays at Temple Bar is always jam-packed with the hottest guys and girls in town, which is ideal for you to show off your prom ensemble. All Friday nights this February will be "Single Mingle" Fridays, featuring speed dating. This is only an alternate plan, of course, if you and your date started off on the wrong foot. Both of you can have fun with DJ Darrel D’s hip-hop music and enjoy an affordable Weng-Weng at P200 or Smirnoff Seven at P215.
Eastwood City
Where:
Libis, Quezon City

What:
Grab your favorite drink at one of their top teen bars – like Bed – giving you the chance to get to know your date even better. Sample the finest desserts at Jack’s Loft, groove with Defunkt at The Basement with its rib-shaking hip-hop and R&B grooves and if sunrise catches you, try the heaviest breakfast buffet at Something Fishy until 10 a.m. the next day.
Vida De Malate
Where:
612 J. Nakpil Street, Malate

What:
A two-level facility featuring trendy interiors, superb music, affordable cocktails and guest hookahs (also known as Shisha). Check out Wednesdays and Thursdays, free-for-all karaoke nights, and weekend Fridays and Saturdays with tracks superbly mixed by resident DJs Joy and Rommel.
Bed Club and Bar
Where:
Courtyard Nakpil cor. Orasa St., Malate

What:
For a more adventurous and alternative post-prom destination, check out Bed’s Thursday World’s Fastest Open Bar, where the bar is completely open with drinks free only for five minutes every hour – when you hear the siren, head for the bar. Bed Club caters to the gay market on Orasa St., known as the gay ghetto of Manila, so expect boys, boys, and more boys with drag performances, too.
