Audition goes to SM Malls for the ultimate dance battle showdown

Audition: Dance Battle, the latest online casual game published by e-Games Philippines, is holding its first dance competition in a mall-wide tour. Dubbed "R U Worthy?: Audition Dance Battle Competition and Mall Tour", this newest event is on the lookout for the best dancers and gamers in the country to conquer the dance floor.
The game itself will be brought to life in a massive stage and live audience. Dance aficionados should check out this exciting event that takes place in select SM Malls.
The first leg of the tour started November 24, in SM Megamall, SM Manila, and SM Sucat. Individuals as well as groups from participating school are expected to grace the initial launch of the dance tilt.
The group category for last week's competition featured students from Holy Light School, Pasay City West High School, Sacred Heart Academy of Pasig, O.B. Montessori Center, Pasig Catholic College, St. Paul College of Pasig, and ADT Montessori School.
Contenders for this exciting showdown stand to win Php 1,000 + MP3 Player (open catergory) and Php 3,000 + MP3 Players (group category). Audition will also visit other SM branches in the provincial region such as Cagayan de Oro (December 3), Cebu (December 10), Iloilo (December 17), Batangas (January 6), Davao (January 21) and Baguio (January 26). Winners will likewise advance to the grand finals to be held on January 19, 2007 at the SM Mall of Asia. The victorious will get to take home cash prizes and other goodies such as MP3 Players, digital cameras and PCs for their schools.
e-Games is inviting all dance fanatics and groups to this exciting and fun-filled event. The mechanics for the dance battle competition are as follows:
Dance Showdown Open Category Mechanics
Participants may register on-site and shall be grouped in batches.
Excerpt from Audition shall be taught to all registered participants by a choreographer.
Participants shall be given 30 seconds to perform the excerpt.
The three best performers from each batch as chosen by the choreographer qualify for the finals and shall be taught another excerpt from Audition.
Finals routine must not be shorter than one minute and 20 seconds and must incorporate the 2nd excerpt from Audition.
A panel composed of 3 judges shall pick the best 3 who will compete in the Grand Finals.
Dance Showdown School Category Mechanics
Groups of 5 to 7 members may register
All registered groups will be given 30 seconds to perform a modern dance routine.
The six (6) three best groups as chosen by the choreographer qualify for the finals and shall be taught an excerpt from Audition (Groups may automatically qualify to the Finals depending on the number of registrants).
Finals routine must not be more than 3 minutes and must incorporate the 2nd excerpt from Audition.
A panel composed of 3 judges shall pick the best 3 groups who will compete in the Grand Finals.
