Hello Moto!

ALL THAT GLITTERS - Camille Villar -
There are some things that you just have to have no matter what. Perhaps it’s that caffeine fix in the morning, a bag that you’ve saved up for all season, a beautiful car or even the latest laptop. For a lot of people, though, lately it’s been a Motorola phone. Whether it’s the SLVR, the RAZR or any of their other cutting-edge models, the sleek design of these phones is almost impossible to resist. Just when you think that nothing can get cooler or better than the phone that you already have, Moto shocks you with something new. There is no doubt that they are constantly pushing boundaries in a world of fashion and technology. This fashion-forward thinking and constant desire to be fun, innovative, and exciting is something that they share with YStyle and its readers.

It’s no wonder that as YStyle turned three, Motorola was right here to celebrate with us. To cap off a night filled with glamour, fresh ideas, high style, captivating couture, and just plain fun – nine of the country’s most talented photographers, Xander Angeles, Marc Nicdao, Frank Hoefsmit, Jake Versoza, Juan Caguicla, Victor Consunji, Jo Ann Bitagcol and Sara Black were each awarded one of Moto’s latest phones. Each member of this diverse and accomplished group exemplified the fusion of style, substance and sophistication that Moto phones possess.

Sara Black received her hot pink Razr and claimed that, "The first time I held it in my hand, it made me feel sophisticated. I love it," while Jo Ann Bitagcol agreed that the phones are "sleek and modern yet cool and fashionable."

Of course, there’s more to it than just aesthetic value, the newest Motorola phones have an expanded memory, are 3G-ready and complete with all the fun and useful features that one might need for today’s fast-paced and avant-garde lifestyle. Don’t let the phones’ slim forms fool you either because they’re made to last. "Moto phones combine a sexy look with a quality build. My V3i even survived a machine wash cycle," says photographer Frank Hoefsmit. "I was awarded an E1070 and it’s the fastest 3G phone I’ve used so far. The bright, high-resolution screen is amazing and the software is responsive."

The recent partnership between YStyle and Moto along with their other collaborations in the past, which include shoots featuring young female icons of our time, further attest to YStyle and Moto’s joint dedication to going beyond the limits, creating something extraordinary, and dazzling their audience with concepts that are not only novel, but distinctly trendsetting as well. There is no denying that Moto, like YStyle, ceaselessly tries to drive forward and uncover, if not dictate, the new urban lifestyle.

"Motorola’s ‘no compromise’ philosophy in terms of design and style  continues to drive innovation and quality, with real exquisite detailing reminiscent of precision products," says Moto’s Mari Litonjua. "This is where YStyle and Motorola are very similar – they are constantly challenging the status quo, pushing the boundaries of design and style, and are not afraid to be over the edge to surprise consumers."

Not too long ago, we were all amazed by how cool the first black and silver Moto RAZRs looked. Then, most girls caught a glimpse of the limited-edition pink RAZR and suddenly couldn’t imagine life without it. They could not resist the temptation to be like every other hip, young thing here and abroad. Recently, however, it seems that the quite possibly the most fashionable phone yet came out in the form of the gold Moto RAZR V3i designed by Dolce and Gabbana. The cool design, distinctive D&G logo, as well as its own unique ring tone are just some of the factors that have kept the stylish set salivating. Now for those cynics who believe that nothing could ever beat that then prepare to be surprised when Motorola releases its newest handset later this year.

"Motorola will continue to hold closely the spirit of diverse suite of mobile devices representing the best in design, color, form, material, technology, and price," adds Mari. "Motorola will have in place a complete top-to-bottom portfolio of mobile devices capturing the market ranging from entry-level, right through to high-end handsets and accessories. With stunning new devices such as the Moto Krzr, the portfolio further positions Motorola as a leader in all our key areas of focus including design, music, enterprise, mass market, mobile broadband, and Bluetooth."

The reflective glass finish of the new, ultra-slim (even slimmer than the RAZR!) and sexy MotoKRZR is just the tip of the iceberg. With its avant-garde capabilities, the Moto team promises to change the way we view cellular technology completely.
