School is out!

CIRCUIT TRAINING - JR Isaac -
Embassy Super club, together with Smirnoff Ice and Rustan’s, celebrated its first year anniversary with a party dubbed "Embassy High." The theme was high school, so people came in as boarding school boys, sexy schoolgirls, varsity players, cheerleaders, and toga-attired frat boys. The club was dressed up to look like a prom in a school gym, with different punch bowls for drinks, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cupcakes, and other favorite old school snacks. Pictures were taken to start the compilation of the Embassy High Yearbook, to be released on next year’s anniversary. To top it all off, instead of giving out diplomas, they gave out Embassy VIP cards.

PAMELA SAGUIN

What subject bored you most?

Math, especially algebra. I got a 90 on all of my other subjects except math where I got a 70, which was a bummer.

EVIE GUEVARA

Who was the first person that complimented your costume?

Fernando Aracama. My friends and I were the only ones wearing authentic high school uniforms.

TATYANA GUEVARA

How would you organize your prom night?

I’d make sure everything was going to be perfect for the night. I’d give ample time for hair and makeup and make sure that my gown fits well.

CIARA SEVILLA

What would make you stay in the back row in the classroom?

I never really sat there because teachers tended to pick on the people at the back. Although it was easier to sneakily multitask there. I could check my phone and give in to my tendency to doodle.

ISHA ANDAYA

Who among your teachers would you go clubbing with?

Maybe my high school biology teacher and geometry teacher, two funny geeky guys. We’d dress in matching polo shirts, suspenders, and clipped ties. We could do a pseudo-choreographed dance a la Romy and Michelle or Night at the Roxbury.

KATRINA HOLIGARES

What subject helped shape your personality?

A combination of my writing and photography classes. The former made me want to read more and express myself through words; the second fueled my thirst for travel through images.

ZO AGUILA

How would you make chemistry an exciting subject?

I’d use it to explain sensations, clarify tendencies, and predict outcome or behavior. Lending chemistry a human dimension makes it fun.
