A starlet is born

Believe it or not the third world still believes in the Cruise collection. After all, holidays in Boracay have proven to be the destination for revelers. After enjoying success with her luxe line Lily, which focuses mainly on embroidered brocade pieces, Wendy Puyat-Hotung has given her two-year-old swimwear line Starlet a push by making it regional. Her pieces are now available at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong. "Starlet offers more variations of the most flattering cuts with new details such as flirtatious bows and strategic peek-a-boo styles. Some ladies asked how styles like a maillot would affect their tan lines. Die-hard fashionistas change swimsuit styles every day (sometimes several times a day if they can) from bikini to maillot while vacationing, thus preventing tan lines from being an issue at all!" shares Wendy. "Now on its second season, the styles flatter both the super fit and the lounge lovers. Young moms have also taken to the sexy but baby-proof fit." No one knows the needs of a woman like a woman herself! Starting with embellished suits, the line grew to accommodate resort wear that are city friendly as well!
"They say a sucker is born every second. The birth of a star (in this case Starlet) can sometimes take much longer. The brand was born a year ago to answer the markets demand for truly glamorous resort wear," purrs Wendy. She adds candidly, "All in all, its a line created to help you enjoy communing with the stars and the sky while looking damn good!"
