Sassy and sweet to the Fifties beat

When most people think of clothing in the 50s, the word that comes to mind is often classic. From the conservative class of the poodle skirt to the provocative sex appeal of the sleeveless collared shirt, the looks are timeless and easy to do. Think Grease to Pleasantville. Whether you want to look sweet and pretty like Sandy in a cardigan and poodle skirt, or sassy and sexy like Rizzo in a midriff or shorts, you can never look tacky if you follow the 50s template after all, you can never overdo it when emulating an age where the word sex was still an expletive.
