A bash to remember

Cosmopolitan magazine once again hunted down the hottest men in town and had them strut their stuff at this year’s Cosmo Bachelor Bash at the NBC Tent, The Fort. To jumpstart the evening, selected Cosmo readers hopped on stage to join their favorite bachelors in temperature-rising games. With the ladies all fired up and raring to go, the bachelors sauntered down a stairway from heaven, putting on a fantastic display of hot bodies. Fun, fearless females were treated to an aptly-themed heavenly bodies show featuring Cosmo’s hunky celebrity centerfolds Marco Alcaraz, Iago Raterta, Alvin Alfonso, Dennis Trillo, Zanjoe Marudo, William Devaughn, Marc Abaya and Victor Basa. A rockin’ performance by Marc Abaya and his band, Kjwan, was followed by a scorching hot finale, which left the ladies screaming for more.

The real women who work hard, look hot and play nice. There’s nothing more I admire than women who just keep on trucking, even if they’re in between jobs or in between boyfriends. I love women whose martini glasses are half full!

Philippine Fashion Design Competition 2005
The Fashion and Design Council of the Philippines (FDCP), SAGA Events and Ayala Center proudly present the grand finals night of the Philippine Fashion Design Competition (PFDC) 2005 set on Oct. 20, 2005, 7 p.m. at the Glorietta Activity Center, Ayala Center, Makati City. For the first time this year, the PFDC 2005 will search for Philippine representatives in the apparel and accessories divisions to the renowned Concours International des Jeunes Créateurs de Mode (International Competition of Young Fashion Designers) to be held in Paris, France on Dec. 15, 2005. The grand finals night, under the overall direction of Robby Carmona, will bring together a distinguished panel of judges from the fields of art, fashion and design who will select the top 10 entries for the apparel and top five for the accessories divisions to represent the Philippines in the international competition at the Carrousel de Louvre in Paris, France.

Celebrate German month 2005 with Esther Kaiser! The Goethe-Institut Manila, in cooperation with the Jazz Society of the Philippines, invites everyone to see and listen to young upcoming German jazz singer Esther Kaiser as she makes her debut in Manila on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. in RCBC Plaza. Esther Kaiser will be performing songs from her debut album, Jazz Poems, and the forthcoming follow-up, The Moment We Met, due to be released in early 2006.
