Wear your music

CIRCUIT TRAINING - JR Isaac -
The Greenbelt 3 lagoon was transformed into a virtual museum replete with multi-colored lights and music that ranged from primitive beats to modern jazz. It was the Samsung MP3 Player’s Museum of Sound Inspiration, which was top global electronics giant Samsung’s way of introducing its newest line of portable digital music players to an eager audience. The theme of the night was inspiration, and the event’s set-up was truly awe-inspiring with its three-part stage with multi-featured dioramas, Samsung models and promo crew dressed in sexy uniforms.

Event host Borgy Manotoc spelled out the ways that music inspires art, sports, and fashion with the help of co-hosts and MTV VJs Don, Nicole, and Claire, while top talents like artist Kiko Escora, UAAP basketball star Joseph Yeo, premiere male dance group the Maneuvers, and hip fashion designer Avel Bacudio demonstrated the phenomenon in action.

The Samsung MP3 Player’s Museum of Sound Inspiration clearly pointed the way forward for lovers of music, entertainment, art, sports, and fashion. With its new line of music players, Samsung urges everyone to express themselves, be original, set the trend, and be inspired.

Joel Tantoco

What music describes the love of your life?

Sexy and sensual house music and R&B because of its happy and uplifting melody.

Sam Oh

When do you bring your Samsung MP3 player?

I’d bring it all the time and everywhere because when the music starts playing, everything becomes different. You feel like you’re in a music video.

Joseph Yeo

What music do you listen to before going to bed?

I listen to R&B or slow jam… anything that sets the mood.

Borgy Manotoc

What music excites you?

Shiver
by Maroon 5. It’s one of those songs that evoke passion and truly makes you care. The song is amazing with the melody and guitar riffs.

Aimee Marcos

What song do you sing in the shower?

Oh my! Well, it really depends on my mood. But for the past two weeks, I’ve had a last song syndrome with Take a Picture by Filter. I really don’t know why but it’s been in my head.

Pen Roque

What is your life anthem?

I Can See Clearly Now
. It’s all about looking forward to each day with a positive attitude. There are many things that stress us out and listening to this song inspires me to face the world of challenges with excitement and high spirits.

Kara Tolentino

What is the first track in your Samsung MP3?

Dave Matthews tops my list. I love all their songs from all their albums. The beauty of their range is that they provide variety. They have romantic passionate ballads that touch listeners then they have faster songs that rock.

Claire Olivar

What music makes you drive fast?

I like hip-hop or anything danceable. There’s something about the strong groove that just makes me speed up.

Avel Bacudio

What music perks up your day?

I always appre-ciate alternative homegrown music. It’s not just being nationalistic, but Filipino music is something that I can relate to as someone in the creative field. There’s something so exhilarating about hearing local Pinoy talent.

Don Puno

Who would you give a Samsung MP3 player to?

My brother because he’s been wanting to have an MP3 player for the longest time. And he’s going off to college so it would be a cool toy to have.

John Joe Joseph

What music genre can you identify with the most?

Heavy metal, because I’ve always thought of myself as a full-blooded rocker.

Cessie Colayco

What’s the most romantic song ever composed?

You
by The Carpenters. The title says it all. It’s all that someone in love ever needs.

Kiko Escora

What makes music the universal language?

Any human being can understand music. It is one of the most basic of human expressions, like painting.

Abba Napa

What song describes your present state of being?

Flying Away
by Moony. I’m really looking forward to a great vacation soon!

Neny Eduque

What music genre describes you most?

Chill music because that’s how I am. I’m basically a calm person.
