Summer glaze

Jappy Gonzalez does it again this season by presenting one hell of a Spring/Summer selection for his Homme et Femme boutique at the Shangri-La Mall. The boutique proudly carries some of the world’s uber luxe brands. His much-coveted range of labels includes Dior Homme, Balenciaga, Helmut Lang, Yohji Yamamotos’ Y-3, Marni, Pucci, Costume National and APC.

What makes the boutique particularly outstanding to its very loyal clientele is Jappy’s innate ability to pick the best of each season’s collections. Jappy personally flies to Europe twice a year to carefully select pieces from each label’s collection. The results are choice pieces that are tres chic and very high on the wearable factor.

This season, Dior Homme continues its ultra slim lines for men. Most of the pieces are in classic white and black. Musts include T-shirts with circles, laminated and distressed jeans, black and khaki blazers and the bright colored belts. If Dior Homme insists you hit the gym constantly to maintain that single digit body fat percentage, Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3 line inspires you to look fantastic on the treadmill. This sporty line comes out heavy this season with asymmetrical and bold lines throughout most of the pieces. Cuts and fabrics are extremely comfortable – try to snap up the jogging pants and the funky sneakers.

Costume National has always been synonymous with clean and modern dressing. This summer, fabrics are luxurious and light; cuts are slim and classic. Perfect for keeping cool and classy at those hot summer parties. It’s a special year for Helmut Lang with the departure of Mr. Helmut Lang himself as the now Prada-owned company’s chief designer. Make sure to grab his classic blue and white jeans – known the world over for its very sexy fit.
