MTV’s most wanted

The latest additions to MTV’s growing family are a fun bunch. After being invited by YStyle to share their style secrets, VJs Nicole Fonacier, Claire Olivar, Colby Miller and Don Puno showed up ready to dazzle the crew with their savvy shopping skills. Flushed from their recent success at the MTV VJ Hunt, the four have been enjoying the spoils of fame: photo shoots and interviews litter their calendars. But none of this has hampered their easygoing natures. The girls’ have a habit of teasing Colby, with Nicole constantly referring to herself as Mrs Miller, while the guys are always goofing off somewhere in the background.

Behind The Music

The shoot got off to a good start. After being instructed to go around the store and pick any outfit they’d like for the shoot, the VJs asked for a time limit. "Do we meet in 15 minutes?" Colby asked. The girls protested loudly. Everyone finally decided to meet in half an hour. Thirty minutes later, no one was in sight. Colby was the first to show up, after 10 minutes, with the girls following several minutes later lugging several bags of clothes, shoes and accessories. Don showed up last, strolling in amid queries of "Where’ve you been?" and""Why’d you take so long?"

As everyone got into their outfits, it became clear that the girls were more fashion-minded. Claire came out in a cute summer dress, while Nicole went for a bright summer palette. Don came out in a polo shirt and shorts toting a salbabida. "What?" he exclaimed when everyone raised their eyebrows. "It’s for summer!" The piece de resistance was Colby’s tourist outfit, a dazzling combination of blinding colors and gaudy prints. Paired with a belt-bag and a wife-beater tank, it was enough to make even Nicole remark jokingly, "Ano ka ba, Colby! Parang ayoko na maging Mrs Miller."

Soon they were hamming it up for the camera as they posed in the middle of the store, unmindful of the crowd’s stares. Giggles erupted from the crowd as Don put on an orange wig he found on a mannequin. "How do I look?" he asked. "These guys are so funny," a girl in the crowd remarked. No doubt about it, wherever these guys go, they’ll always be making waves.
