"What kind of outfit should I wear?"

DEAR CHECHEL
Hi there! Just want to ask for some advice. I'm 15 years old and I'm petite (4'11"). What kind of outfit should I wear? What kind of pants? Please kindly include the name of the store and prices, if possible. I go more for the sporty side. Thanks! Hope you'll reply through e-mail.

Given your height, and that you are petite, it would be a bit hard for me to advise you on your exact outfits. Proper proportions and body shapes are to be greatly considered when choosing your outfits or updating your wardrobe or look. The best advice I could give you is to always create the illusion of length. If you have long slender legs then it would be easier to make you look taller. Wearing boot cut denims or straight cut pants a few inches longer than the normal length you wear will help elongate you. Most importantly, wear high-heeled shoes to add inches to your height. I know you said you are on the sporty side, which tells me you don't wear heels. If that's the case, then wear clothes that fit close to your body. Never wear loose or baggy clothes. Always remember -create the illusion of length.
DEAR CHECHEL,
My eyeshadow always ends up looking weird! Do you have any tips for applying it correctly? Should I use more than one shade at a time? How do I make it last so it doesn't accentuate the lines in my eyelids?
JANELLE, 21
Before eyeshadow application, make sure you start off with a base, like pressed powder or foundation. Then use one shade for day and you can add another at night. If it creases in your eyelids, remove it by simply blending it with your fingers. Retouch with your powder and eyeshadow and you're all set.
DEAR CHECHEL,
Is it true that your clothes have to follow specific tones, as in, the colors have to get darker and darker as you move from the top to the skirt or pants to the socks to the shoes? I don't really think I believe in this. What happens if I want to wear a black top, white pants, no socks, and white shoes? Does that make me a sinner?
MICQUI, 16
The only tones you have to consider are the colors that would look good and complement your skin tone. Otherwise, I say experiment! Have fun! Wear your clothes with confidence. Express yourself! After all, that is what fashion is all about - individuality!
