Shu the sun damage away this summer

CHEERS! - DJ Montano -
I remember my mother once told me that if I continued to tan away at the beach for long periods, I would look like George Burns when I turn 40 – old and wrinkly. I objected to her by saying, you mean George Hamilton, the bronze god of an actor! This was more than a decade ago, I have since seen recent pictures of Mr. Hamilton and desire no longer to look like him. We can continue to tan, however, we must do something to prevent it from aging by using products that specifically replenish our skin's moisture.

Let’s all face it: the sun is deadly to youthful looking skin. Mr. Uemura, of the ever-legendary Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil circa 1960, recognizes this and has created unique products that count as one of its raw ingredients seawater drawn from the ocean's uber-deep levels. Under the high pressure and with no sunlight, this water matures slowly and contains tons of minerals. Because water is the base of life, Mr. Uemura believes that beautiful skin is well-hydrated skin. He heard about the deep-sea water and immediately he knew that was what he was looking for. Research shows that men and women's top skin concern is the chapped and rough skin that comes from dryness. Shu Uemura has created a new unisex skin care line with a focus on pure water and enhancing moisture on the skin. It is the embodiment of the philosophy that "from great water comes beautiful skin."

This summer as the mercury rises, make sure you nourish and defend yourself with the following wonderful products from Shu Uemura:
Shu Uemura Depsea Water
Using water drawn 320m in depth from Muroto, Japan, this skin refreshener is for every skin type. An absolute must as you bake yourself luxuriously golden brown on the beach – darlings, spraying that branded mineral water is so last season! Use it as often as you like or whenever skin feels dry. Refresh your mood with eight different aromas – hamamelis, chamomile (my personal favorite), lavender, sage, rose, bergamot, mint and rosemary. It can be sprayed on face, hair, even over makeup, the 50 ml spray bottles are conveniently small enough to fit into your evening glam bags.
Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Nanowater
Nanowater is perfect for those who prefer a rich texture and have dry skin. It contains emollient capsules into water that penetrate incredibly well into skin. The balance of water and emollient agents combined with nano-emulsifiers creates an absolute first in lotions. It achieves deep moisture, therefore very soft skin – perfect for that romantic weekend at the beach.
Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Equiwater
Equiwater refreshes, wonderful for those with oily skin. The slight gel-type liquid goes on watery, penetrating the surface of the skin then diffusing to bring refreshment. It provides optimum skin transparency and moisture balance so you can achieve that Bo Derek or Marcelo Mastroianni glow as you sashay or strut on the sand.
Shu Uemura Depsea Therapy Moisture Recovery Emulsion
This smoothing emulsion is the perfect finish to skin thatís just been exposed to the sun or needs some refreshment. It goes on like water and doesn't feel sticky like other after sun lotions do, spreading absolute silky smoothness on skin.
Shu Uemura Protector Ttl Defender Spf 25++
Experience total protection from the sun with this unique sun block with mattifier. Add to its uniqueness its comfortable spreading texture without white residue, foundation long lasting effect – excess sebum control for that non-oily look and high affinity with skin thanks to deep sea water.

All of the above Shu Uemura products are available exclusively at Rustan's Makati and at Rustan's Tower, Shangri-la Plaza Mall.
