Me and my Adidas

Manila always comes up with unique concepts to use as an excuse for a celebration, and this time it was the first Adidas Sports Ball which was held at the Adidas sports center at the Fort. Unlike the usual ostentatious balls and sports events, the setting was similar to a JS prom held on campus. Bleachers and podiums were set up for the guests to freely show off their own stylized Adidas get-up. The night was a display of various personalities and how Adidas reflects their characters. I asked these hip and cool urbanites how Adidas has been part of their fashion genre.

Circuit Training Event for the week:

Mark your Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. because you are invited for the opening art exhibit of "House of Art" featuring New York based painter Isabel Diaz and her sibling, multi-media artist Ramon Diaz. This limited run will be held at Nielson Tower in Makati.

Isabel Diaz has established herself as a master of watercolors and oil works with the seeming fluidity of water. She has been awarded by the Art Association of New York and has been commissioned for such important portraits for US presidents and Prince Philip of England.

Ramon Diaz is an artist who uses his skill on mixed and multimedia. He has had numerous exhibits in the past but has only done once a collaborative effort with his sister Isabel held at Furama Hotel in Hong Kong in 2000.

Aside from the gym, I wear it also on regular days especially when shopping, having coffee with friends and feeling laid back.

How would you describe your Adidas girl?

I have met many and most them are fit with an active lifestyle, which is always on the go and ready to take any challenges.

What is your favorite Adidas line?

My two favorite Adidas are the Clima Cool shoes for training, which is perfect for the high humidity of the tropics, since it makes me sweat a lot. And the Melbourne Series foot wear for my casual days since it is comfortable for walking, I personally got the color white to match my usual all-white casual ensemble.

How did you prepare for the Adidas Ball?

The Adidas Ball gave me an opportunity to wear the green trench hooded coat since its today’s color of fashion. I accessorized it with an Emilio Pucci scarf as an obi wrap belt.

What kind of music will you play for your Adidas girl?

I will let my Adidas girl listen to Run DMC and Missy Elliot since it is all about hip hop music and old school funk.

Where would you wear your favorite Adidas get-up for a unique date?

I will wear my Adidas Adi sports top with matching Adi Capri pants and Adi A3 shoes. Most probably a date in the kick boxing class will be awesome!

When did you get your Adidases?

Only last year, this was a gift from my mom. The brown jacket and blue cycling shoes are my favorite color combination and I bring them with me all the time. I get a lot compliments from the guys; my girlfriends keep on asking them from me.

I wear it during and after training, since it is stylish and functional. The shoe allows my skin to breath during training which makes it very comfortable
