"Let’s just say it’s a serendipitous love story," muses Greg Martin. "He met me four times and he thought that he had met four different girls," explains TV host Clara Balaguer. Leave multiple-personality-disorders out of the situation. Incident # 1:Greg met Clara while he was channel surfing and was stopped silly at the MYX channel where Clara used to be a VJ. "I just thought that she was the hottest thing, you know. She’s funny, she says whatever she thinks, and I really love her personality. It was love at first sight, and she immediately became my huge crush. Well, tied up at least with the Guess girl," he explains. Incident # 2: Greg spotted Clara in a dark, densely populated corner of a bar. "I thought she’s with a guy, so I didn’t really approach her." Incident # 3: Their paths crossed in Boracay and for further developments, Greg already had her number stored. A long time after that, they met in a VTR, and that’s the only time the meeting counted. In this story, ‘twists and turns’ is an understatement.
"When I first met him, he’s like this big a_ _hole and I was like, ‘The nerve!’ But what I like about him now is that he’s very positive. I’m sort of the negative one and he’s a good influence for me in that way. Oh, and he’s also sweet, believe it or not. He brings out the romantic in me," she adds. Greg laughs, "For me, let’s just put it as, ‘I love the girl everyone loves to hate’."
So we hurl out the three things girls hate about Clara. First, as obviously stated, she’s Greg’s arm candy, and that could mean more trouble than having all the tropical typhoons clash in one place. "Greg likes being a celebrity, and he’s really good with the attention. I’m not. I love my fans, you know, those die-hard ones who flash their buns and all, but with him, it’s different. Some girls just tend to do everything to get to bed with him," Clara spills. Second, she’s been around the best sites in the country and she gets paid for it ashold your breathsthe first Filipina in Discovery Channel. "Hey, she deserves that. And she worked hard to get the job," Greg says. And third? She admits having a big mouth. "Some people get freaked whenever I speak my mind, but that’s just who I am, you know."
"I love a lot of things about her. I just don’t know what’s on top of the list," cuts Greg. "I have to say the same thing, but if I have to say something, he took me out of a very bad place where I was in. Oh, and he’s funny, too. And he’s the best guy to go shopping with. We go everywhere where there’s a bargain. We even have manicures together, and he’s not gay! That’s the best thing! He’s girly and I’m sort of manly, so we enjoy doing guy and girl things together!" she reveals.
