February 1, 2003 | 12:00am
Wireless Service Asia (WSA) is introducing Game Channel  a TV show that allows cell phone users to compete with anyone all over the archipelago in any of five exciting video games. If chatting is your trip, you can interact with your fellow gamers or make friends with kindred souls at a window that pops below the on-screen action.
To play all the GameChannel games, you first need to register by sending G REG (USER NAME) to 2359. To play TriviaText, send T (question number) (answer) to 2359.
Here’s how you can participate in these cool challenges. You can compete with other fellow wordsmiths in CrossText by sending C (box number) (answer) to 2359. You can race against other knights of the dictionary in SearchText by sending S (hidden word) to 2359. WSA teams up with Red Lynx for Bumper Cars  Demolition Derby style. Start the game by sending B START to 2359 and crash into opponents by sending B (six targets) to 2359. There is also Katapult! Start the game by sending K START 2359 and commence hurling rocks by sending K (angle) (distance).
Take part in these adventures every Tuesday and Thursday, 6 to 7 p.m. on IBC-13. Each SMS message costs P6. For more information, visit www.game channel.tv.
