Greenplanet recently launched its "house" night — a weekly Saturday event where good music, good people and good fun all come together. Aptly called The Lounge @ Greenplanet, this place offers a uniquely cozy and relaxing ambience with mostly couches, mats and throw pillows, set against Morrocan-style drapes and soft candle lighting. Manila’s most popular DJs bring us the best in house grooves and soulful beats.

The Lounge is a departure from Greenplanet’s original concept of a comedy bar and restaurant when it opened in April 2001. It evolved into a music lounge and bistro, mostly featuring acoustic band entertainment, which it has to this day. In the very near future, Greenplanet will be giving its patrons, old and new alike, varied forms of entertainment and events to cater to people’s different moods and personalities. The Lounge’s "house" concept is the first initiative to this end. Open 9 p.m. till 3 a.m. every Saturday The Lounge @ Greenplanet aims to provide a "good vibe" experience while in its confines or as a prelude perhaps to the club scene that follows elsewhere. More exciting "events" are underway this month and onwards.
