Dread those locks!

- Pazzy Navarro -
FOR UNTREATED HAIR
Who says simple, true-to-your-color hair is boring? You can still be a head turner!
INDOORS
It’s advisable to shampoo every other day so as not to strip hair of its natural oils. If you must shampoo daily, do so with a light shampoo.

Check out these cleansing aids
—try Body Shop’s Brazil Nut Damage Care line or the Clinique line to repair and revitalize damaged hair.

Condition. For normal or dry hair, use conditioner before shampooing, that way you revive moisture while avoiding the limp effect.Try Cream Silk Light which gently cares for hair and scalp.

Here’s a quick conditioning trick
—before going to bed, place a dime-sized drop of baby oil onto your palm, massage into hair, wrap in either a bandana or shower cap. You’ll wake up the following day with instantly moisturized hair!
OUTDOORS
Prevent sun exposure by wearing a hat or bandana. More than being cool accessories, they also protect your hair from getting badly burned. Personal Care, a heat-activated shampoo, is great because the more you are sun-exposed, the more it reacts to protect and beautify your hair!

It’s good to use a leave-on conditioner like Citre Shine. It creates shine, provides sun protection, and enhances hair, giving it natural sun-kissed highlights. The Body Shop also carries Palm Shine, which specifically protects hair against damage.
FOR COLORED, TREATED HAIR
Don’t worry about staying under the sun. Most hair tints have UV filters to block the sun off.

Create intrigue with subtle changes. Get into summer fever with golden glints of the sun! Go for brunette, velvety chocolate, and nutty brown. It’s striking to have a light color, too. Go blonde! Choose anything from copper to honey. Stay within the realm of your real color. The key is to have the most natural appearance. Choose one that is easily maintainable and suits your skin tone and hair type.

Keep your hair color lustrous and vibrant
. Products designed for colored hair are different from those for dry hair. For colored, it’s about balancing moisture and protein.

Protect.
Treat your locks. Having treatment once a week helps keep your hair healthy. Be wary of the sun. Prevent fading by applying SPF products on your hair.

Sunning vs. swimming.
Chlorine build-up can dull color. Use a clarifying shampoo weekly.
