After a three-month campaign, MTV and Penshoppe recently announced the 10 winners of the MTV and Penshoppe Youth Council at the Che bar in Rockwell Center.
The male winners are Marco Lobregat, Uriah Vanden Bos, Richard Lozano, Brad Turvey and Terrence Koa. In the female division the winners are Kelly Misa, Danielle Mendoza, Kathleen Hilario, Nicole Schulze and Leila Lee Kuzma.
The MTV and Penshoppe Youth Council search, presented by Cali and I-Academy, was a search for both image models and ambassadors of goodwill. "Being in the Council is not all about glamour and prestige. We constantly remind The Council members that their being selected is not a right, but a privilege, and, carries a responsibility. They will be busy doing a lot of socio-civic activities such as visiting orphanages and homes for the aged. They will also be busy coming up with statements in causes that they all believe in," said Rod Nepomuceno, marketing and communications director of MTV.
The MTV and Penshoppe Youth Council members each won a modeling contract from Penshoppe for the rest of the year and, if qualified, will also have the opportunity to host MTV events. Moreover, two lucky members of the Council who are interested in taking up information technology as a career will be given scholarships by I-Academy.
Indeed, the Youth Council members are certainly a bunch to watch out for.
