Lea Salonga to judge in 2011 Miss Universe Pageant
Tony Award-winning Filipino singer-actress Lea Salonga is among the celebrities who will be judging the 2011 Miss Universe Pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil, according to a news release from NBC Universal.
The Miss Universe Pageant is a joint venture between NBC Universal and Donald J. Trump. It is a global community empowering role models of beauty, health and leadership for young women of today.
BB Pilipinas-Universe 2011 Shamcey Supsup is now in Brazil for a series of pre-pageant activities. Before she left for Colombia on August 10 for a weeklong training, Supsup confided in an exclusive one-on-one interview with philstar.com that she is very excited to begin her journey as the next Filipina Miss Universe.
The coronation night for the Miss Universe pageant will take place on September 12 (September 13 in Manila) at the Credicard Hall in Sao Paulo.
The pageant will be aired by ABS-CBN on Tuesday (September 13), live via satellite at 9:30 a.m. with a free-TV primetime telecast via Studio 23 the same day at 9:30 p.m. It will also be aired on cable via Velvet in its double primetime replay at 7p.m. and 10 p.m.
