Aiming to make booking for new experiences affordable and easier, travel services booking platform Klook has recently announced the completion of its Series C funding, said to be the largest deal ever for an in-destination service booking platform, a co-investment led by Goldman Sachs and existing investors Sequoia Capital and Matrix Partners, which are also behind some of the world’s iconic brands such as Apple, Airbnb, WhatsApp, and Paypal.

This enables the travel services booking platform to offer over 30,000 travel activities in over 120 destinations, in turn enabling travelers to plan their own itineraries.

“Filipino travelers are extremely engaged and mobile, with their four favorite destinations being Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Taiwan,” Marcus Yong, Regional Marketing Lead for Klook, says in a statement.

Editor's note: The tour to Taiwan was hosted by Klook to promote tourism in the area.
