MANILA, Philippines - The world-famous Haohan Qiao also known as the "Brave Men’s Bridge,” has left the tourists terrified after a crack was formed right under one visitor's feet.

According to a report by Chinese Daily, the staff at the Yuntaishan resort confirmed that cracks appeared on the 984-foot-long glass suspension bridge after a tourist accidentally dropped a thermos.

This was after an unidentified tourist posted on October 5 the incident on Weibo, the Chinese version of the microblogging site Twitter.

“I heard a bang from under… Everybody is screaming. I cried, ‘It’s really cracked! It’s really cracked!’ And pushed the people in front of me to get away,” said the Weibo user, who was quoted in the English language by Chinese Daily.

Chinese Daily also added that the tourists were instructed to leave the place after the incident happened.

The bridge started its operations on September this year. It can supposedly handle up to 800 kilograms of weight per square meter.

Meanwhile, there are no news yet about when the bridge will be open to the public again.
