Christmas spirit alive at Tutuban center

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The skyline of historically and culturally rich Tutuban lit up recently with the holding of the traditional giant Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Tutuban Center’s expansive grounds. A yearly tradition done as a highlight of the celebration of Bonifacio Day in Tutuban, the ceremony hopes to remind everyone that the Yuletide season is at hand. Prior to the official switching of the lights, the event was preceded by lots of entertainment and fun activities before Tutuban Properties, Inc. (TPI) executives and VIP guests gathered near the base of the giant Christmas tree and turned on the lights after a heart-pounding countdown, sending the crowd into a frenzy as the tree finally lit up to become a giant beaming and glittering beacon of hope for many during these trying times. A fireworks display followed, littering the night sky with vivid colors as the festivities continued on through the night. Tutuban Center continues to be the best bargain shopping destination, especially for everyone’s Christmas shopping needs. The best gift items for the Yuletide season can be bought here at reasonable prices. For those who need to do their shopping in the evening after a whole day’s work, Tutuban also has its popular Tutuban Center Night Market where everyone can joyfully complete their Christmas checklist. Shown in photo are (from left) Kits Aquino, Tutuban Properties SVP-general manager, and celebrities like Larry Cruz, Joey Acosta, Jake Vargas and German Moreno.
