All-business Putrajaya has an alter ego
PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia - Malaysia's administrative capital may only seem to attract dignitaries, diplomats and men of affairs with its seamless roads and stately government buildings.
Putrajaya, however, is set to become a premier sports destination in this part of the world that a mention of all its sports facilities and attractions for fans would be quite a chore.

The planned city, monitored round-the-clock with hidden security cameras and traversed by comfortable buses for commuters, gears to become a major football hub hosting the Football Association of Malaysia as well as the Asean Football Federation and the Asian Football Confederation.
A 7.6-hectare piece of land in the heart of the region may also see buildings and football fields neighboring an upcoming full-scale stadium.
Another address that merits a mention is the Putrajaya Equestrian Park in the southeast section of Precinct 5. Its stable of imported and home-grown race horses, each with its own personality, offers a selection for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders.

Serious and casual cyclists can also find several biking routes around the city. Biking, after all, is the perfect way to gaze at the area's manicured fields, wisely designed buildings, man-made and natural rivers and the courtly bridges that cross them.
Bicycles are available for rent in several locations, among which is at the Boulevard Precinct 2 just across the Palace of Justice.

A short drive away from the main Putrajaya district is the state-of-the-art Sepang International Circuit in Selangor. The circuit is also accessible from Kuala Lumpur via modern North-South Expressway, railway links and a network of highways.
